- When is it? Sat. Oct. 17 from 12:30-3:30pm at GCO
- What is OCC? Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. - What is a "Packing Party"? We have been gathering items for shoeboxes all year! The packing party is your opportunity to help us fill shoeboxes, which we will give to Samaritain's Purse to distribute. Our goal this year is 700 boxes! You get to choose the items that go into the shoebox. You can write a note to the child who will receive that box and pray for them. This is a nice opportunity for the whole church to do a gospel opportunity service project together, all ages! Kids under 8 should pack with parent/adult supervision.
- Can I help with the shipping costs of the boxes? We ask the congregation to help us with the shipping costs of $9 per box, our goal is 700 gifts. The link to the fundraising website is here. Donors will receive email receipts
