Topic: Romans Passage: Romans 1:16
Discussion Questions
- Read 1 Pet. 3:15. The context is extreme persecution and interrogation for one's faith. Discuss not being ashamed of or offended at the Gospel.
- Read Rom. 1:16. How is the Gospel not just powerful but THE power of God for salvation?
- Read Rom. 13:11. Discuss how Paul's use of "salvation" indicates the entire process from start to finish.
- Talk about the connection between Romans 1:14 and Paul being obligated to give basically everyone in the world the Gospel, and the word "all" in Romans 1:16, as well as the fact that it is for Jew and Gentile alike, and how we can overcome our tendencies to stereotype, profile, and otherwise pigeonhole people, sometimes leading us to not share the Gospel with them.
